Google Cloud certifications are growing in relevance, particularly for data engineering and machine learning adjacent roles. If you're leaning into the AI/ML space, a Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer cert might actually give you a leg up that AWS doesn't.
Microsoft Azure certifications — especially the AZ-900 (Fundamentals) and AZ-104 (Administrator) — tend to dominate in enterprise environments, particularly companies already deep in the Microsoft ecosystem. If you're targeting corporate IT or hybrid cloud roles, Azure is worth a serious look.
